Read a summary of the presentations at the Society's January 5, 2008 Educational Program on Clinical Social Work in Healthcare
On January 5, 2008, the Society conducted a conference about the role of clinical social workers in healthcare. The healthcare environment is changing and there is need for clinical social workers to provide services to older adults, persons suffering from chronic or terminal illnesses & their families, and those suffering from grief & bereavement. NYS is embarking on a primary care initiative which will provide many opportunities for clinical social workers trained in working with these rapidly growing patient populations.
